Access G21 project activities will engage people from various groups to develop consistent access standards across the community's built and natural environments.
Access G21 project activities will engage people with disabilities, local governments, businesses, community organisations, service providers, family members and carers to develop consistent access standards for:
- customer service
- public spaces and facilities
- parks and playgrounds
- festivals and events
- community engagement.
The project will create a dialogue between people with disabilities, family members, carers, local government officers, businesses community organisations and service providers to embed inclusive planning practices.
Significantly, as a community capacity building demonstration project, it will produce a nationally consistent model for improving connectedness between sectors in local government settings so that making inclusive places is an integrated given and not a bolt-on option.
Please Note: Access G21 is dependent on acquiring additional external funding. Once funding has been secured, further updates will follow.
