Regular exercise not only helps to improve mood, strength, bony integrity, helping to maintain a well-balanced and functioning body, it also helps pre-vent a wide range of health conditions, from stroke, metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, depression, a number of types of cancer, arthritis and falls .
The benefits of exercise are hard to dispute. Exercise can benefit everyone regardless of age, sex or physical ability.
This forum will explore some of the many benefits of exercise as a means to maintain health and prevent injury and disease. While the focus will be on developing a strength based program we will also discuss what factors are required in a well-balanced exercise program, giving practical examples of both how and why regular exercise is important .
