Guest Speaker: Dr Helen McKenzie, General Practitioner

Helen has worked in mental health for over twenty years. She is currently a member of the Mental Health Tribunal with her interest lying in the area of dual diagnosis and addiction management. Helen worked with Barwon Health DAS for 6 years and for the past 3 years has been a member of The Geelong Clinic Addictive Behaviours Programme team.

Topic: Wine, Women and a Sad Song: The Impact of Alcohol for Women

Alcohol use is a common problem in our society but what is the current impact on women in Australia? Are we seeing an increase in use and abuse, what is this related to and how will we address this to prevent the negative consequences?

Venue: Eastern Hub Geelong, Hinchcliff Room - 285a McKillop Street (corner of Humble Street),
