NAIDOC Week March & Concert
Join in the celebration on NAIDOC Week at the annual NAIDOC Week March, followed by a free concert at Fed Square.
The march will begin at the Victorian Aboriginal Health Services at 186 Nicholson Street, Fitzroy and proceed down Nicholson Street into the city, finishing at Fed Square.
Following the march, enjoy the celebrations in The Square including a smoking ceremony, speeches and live music performances.
NAIDOC Week is a celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and an opportunity to recognise the contributions of Indigenous Australians in various fields. Activities take place across the nation during NAIDOC Week in the first full week of July.
Wathaurong are offering a bus service to transport people:
- 9.00am - Bus Departing the Co-Operative at Morgan Street travelling to Victorian Aboriginal Health Service (VAHS) in Fitzroy
- 1:30 - 3:30 pm - NAIDOC Week March & Celebration Concert
- 5.00pm - Arriving back at the Co-Operative at Morgan Street
