The 2018 Mental Health Awards
The Mental Health Foundation Australia has created two inaugural awards for mental health advocacy. One award will be presented for an outstanding contribution to mental health by an individual. The second award will be presented for an outstanding contribution to mental health by an organisation, as judged by the Mental Health Foundation Australia.
These inaugural awards will be presented by the Governor of Victoria, the Honerable Linda Dessau AC and husband Mr Anthony Howard QC, at Government House on Friday 26th October. Presentations will be made during a breakfast event between 7.00 - 9.00am attended by invited dignitaries and guests.
This contribution may have taken the form of:
- an educative project;
- demonstrated respect for the dignity of people with a mental illness;
- a creative and innovative approach to solving mental health issues; and/or,
- any combination of the above worthy of high public recognition.
These awards are only offered to Australian citizens and organisations who have a presence primarily in Australia.
