WELCOME TO WADAWURRUNG COUNTRY by Corrina Eccles – National Reconciliation Week 2020
National Reconciliation Week 2020 (27 May - 3 June) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
On this journey, Australians are all In This Together; every one of us has a role to play when it comes to reconciliation, and in playing our part we collectively build relationships and communities that value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories and cultures.
This year, the City of Greater Geelong adopted its first Reflect - Reconciliation Action Plan. Reconciliation is about strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples, for the benefit of all Australians.

Local Aboriginal artist Billy-Jay O’Toole, who grew up on Wadawurrung country, created the stunning artwork featured in the video.
