Our Priorities

The Health & Wellbeing Pillar has developed a number of priorities and projects that contribute to the implementation of The HWB Pillar's Strategic Plan for 2017-2018.

Current priorities and projects that have been endorsed by the G21 Health and Wellbeing Executive and Round Table are below:

As a key priority for the Health & Wellbeing Pillar, we will provide opportunities to build capacity and encourage leadership at every opportunity. If we build the capacity of our workforce, community and organisations, we will also build our leadership capability.

Violence against women and children is serious, prevalent and preventable. To successfully address the issue, an understanding of gender equity and the role that gender plays in preventing violence is essential.

Healthier Eating and Active Living (HEAL) has been identified as a key priority to encourage and support the community to make healthy lifestyle changes at a personal level.

Measuring our progress is a key priority of the Health & Wellbeing Strategic Plan (17-18).

Supporting social and community connectedness that celebrates diversity is a key priority in the G21 region.  Social connectedness and community inclusion improves physical health and mental and emotional wellbeing.
