The Economic Value of Volunteering in the G21 Region Strategy

In 2014, The Economic Value of Volunteering in the G21 region was produced which:

  • heightens awareness of the significant contribution volunteers make to the local economy
  • provides individual agencies, clubs and organisations with evidence with which to advocate to government authorities and funding bodies
  • encourages others to recognize that volunteers are valued for the contribution they make to the community through volunteering
  • provide a baseline for further work in this area
